Head of Indonesian National Narcotics Agency Visits Greece to Strengthen Cooperation in Drug Prevention and Eradication
PersatuanindoNEWS.com - During his official visit to Europe, the Head of the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Commissioner General Prof. Dr. Petrus Reinhard Golose, departed for Greece to pay a courtesy call to the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Bebeb Abdul Kurnia Nugraha Djundjunan, on Friday (25/8).

The arrival of the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency, along with the Member of the Expert Group of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency in the field of International Cooperation, Ambassador Harry James Kandou, the Director of the International Cooperation and Planning Bureau of the National Narcotics Agency, Dr. Amrita Devi, SpKJ, the Director of Intelligence of the National Narcotics Agency, Brigadier General Pol. Ruddi Setiawan, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., and the delegation of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency, was warmly welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic.

The Indonesian Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic appreciates the efforts of the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency in establishing cooperation with the Greek government in the field of Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.

Greece's geographical location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, with its long coastline, makes it strategically positioned as a transit and destination area for illicit drug trafficking, including crimes committed by Organized Crime Groups (OCGs).

During the meeting, the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency shared his experiences in Indonesia's efforts in P4GN. According to him, a comprehensive approach is crucial in addressing the drug problem, from the upstream to the downstream.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Greece welcomes the plan for cooperation with the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency as a respected anti-narcotics institution worldwide.
