PersatuanindoNEWS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in his state address, provides guidance and a policy foundation for local governments, including the Tangerang Regency Government. This ensures that the programs and policies of the regency are aligned with the central government's programs.
This was conveyed by the Regent of Tangerang, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, during a plenary meeting held to listen to the President's state address virtually in the Tangerang Regency DPRD Plenary Meeting Room on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. The Vice Regent of Tangerang, H Mad Romli, was also present accompanying Regent Zaki.
"The guidance and objectives conveyed in the state address will certainly serve as inputs for policy-making at the regency level, especially in Tangerang Regency, which will be in line with national development programs," said the Regent.
The Regent hopes that all elements can implement the President's guidance and inputs from his state address in order to move forward towards Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Indonesia).
In his state address, President Jokowi addressed various issues ranging from people's issues to the economy, downstreaming, and the development of stunting prevention in Indonesia. He expressed concern and sadness about the widespread misuse of freedom of speech and democracy, as well as the fading culture of politeness and noble manners in Indonesia.
"What saddens me is that the culture of politeness and noble manners of this nation seems to be disappearing. Freedom and democracy are being used to vent hatred and spread slander," said President Jokowi.
President Jokowi called on the entire society to continue to uphold the mentality so that Indonesia can progress and undergo transformation towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
"Achieving a position among the top five global economic powers is not just a possibility. The strategy to achieve it already exists, it has been formulated. It is only a matter of whether we are willing to focus our energy on moving forward or waste our energy on unproductive and divisive matters," he concluded.
