PersatuanindoNEWS.com - Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Karyoto, delivered a message to the authorities from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and local government officials to prevent brawls in his jurisdiction. One of the recommended methods is to monitor every access point and means used by teenagers to engage in brawls, including through social media.
Karyoto encouraged the community to actively monitor available information with the aim of identifying the access points used by teenagers for brawls, including through social media. Social media has become a common platform for teenagers to communicate and coordinate their brawling activities.
In efforts to prevent brawls and violence, Kapolda Metro Jaya emphasized the importance of community participation in monitoring and providing information to the security forces regarding potential brawls. By monitoring the access points and activities of teenagers on social media, it is hoped that information can be obtained more quickly, enabling appropriate preventive measures to be taken to avoid disturbances.
"I want to encourage the community to actively stay informed by monitoring every access point used by teenagers for brawls, including social media," said Karyoto during his speech at the Friday Sharing session held at the Sunter Jaya Sub-district Office, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Friday (25/8/2023).
This step demonstrates the police's awareness of the importance of community involvement in maintaining security and order in the surrounding environment. Through collaboration between the security forces, the community, and local government, it is hoped that a safe and peaceful environment can be created, reducing the potential for brawls and violence, especially among teenagers.
