The appointment of the flag bearers of Bekasi Regency was held at Swatantra Wibawamukti Building, within the Bekasi Regency Government Complex in Cikarang Pusat, on Monday, August 28, 2023, in the evening. During the ceremony, Sekda Dedy Supriyadi delivered guidance to the members of the flag bearers.
Sekda Dedy Supriyadi expressed that being a flag bearer in the commemoration of the West Java Provincial Scout Day is a noble duty. The flag bearers were carefully selected from the finest sons and daughters of Bekasi Regency through a series of selection processes. They possess good character, intelligence, and extensive knowledge.
"These flag bearers have a high spirit to serve in the Bekasi Regency Scout movement. Not everyone has the privilege of this golden opportunity. This moment marks a significant milestone for them to step forward and become the nation's finest sons and daughters," said Sekda Dedy Supriyadi.
Dedy also emphasized the importance of embracing and upholding the Scout Oath (Tri Satya) and Scout Law (Dasa Darma) for all members of the Scout movement. Tri Satya consists of the Oath to God, Oath to the Nation, and Oath to Humanity. Meanwhile, Dasa Darma comprises the Ten Scout Laws: Love of God, Loyalty to the Homeland, Upholding Human Dignity, Prudence, Integrity, Cooperation, Courage, Thriftiness, Patriotism, and Self-Discipline. These principles should serve as guiding principles in their dedication in the present and future.
