PersatuanindoNEWS.com - The Drug Investigation Unit of Labuhanbatu Police conducted a drug awareness campaign on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.
The campaign took place at Al-Ikhlasyah Mosque in Padang Bulan Village, Rantauprapat District, Labuhanbatu Regency, and was led by Sub-Inspector Elimawan Sitorus from the Drug Investigation Unit, along with Police Officer H. Endi Suwanto, who is assigned to community policing.
It was explained that the event was attended by the Village Head of Padang Bulan, village officials, the Chairman of Granat Labuhanbatu, and the women's community group.
Sub-Inspector Elimawan, representing the Drug Investigation Unit, stated through the Public Relations Section Officer Parlando that the campaign was carried out as a follow-up to the establishment of 12 Drug-Free Village Posts (Kampung Bebas Narkoba), one of which is located in Padang Bulan Village.
"We invite the entire community to join us in combating and eradicating drug trafficking. We also encourage the community not to hesitate to report any knowledge of drug abuse or drug trafficking in their surroundings."
Furthermore, it was explained that this initiative is in line with the Accelerated Quick Wins Program initiated by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, the Priority Programs of the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, and the commitment of the Labuhanbatu District Police Chief to clean the region from drug abuse.
